Why the version matters
Minecraft's world generation changes between releases, and a seed map is only accurate for the worldgen it targets. The biggest modern differences:
- 1.21.4 added the pale garden, so a 1.21.0 world cannot contain one.
- 1.18 rewrote terrain height and ore distribution entirely.
- 1.13 changed oceans and aquifers.
We list a version separately only when its worldgen actually differs — so you always see a map that matches your world, with no padding.
